Combi
America offers new features for 2EZ Case Erector / Bottom Taper.
New EZ adjustment system, and quick release slideout tapehead,
allows easier changeovers and maintenance. New stainless steel
epoxy finish offers greater durability.
CANTON,
OH. April 8, 1998 Combi America today announced new improvements
to the 2EZ Case Erector / Bottom Taper. In response to customer
feedback and continuing research and development, the 2EZ incorporates
innovative new features without a price increase.
New
Easy Adjustment System The operator utilizes a scale on
the machine to measure the height and width of the box, indicators
at each adjustment point are cranked to the corresponding measurements.
The new adjustment system assures quick changeovers with no
guesswork.
New
Snap Release Slideout Tapehead for fast tape roll changes,
slides the tapehead completely out of the machine, where it
can also be lifted out for easy maintenance.
Steel-It
Finish New standard finish is a two part epoxy primer,
with a two part stainless steel pigment epoxy finish coat. This
new coating process offers high resistance to abrasion and corrosion.
This
affordable system can accommodate a wide range of case types
and sizes from 8"x5"x5" to 20"x16"x18". Case types include regular
slotted cases (RSC) square cases, half slotted cases (HSC),
short wide, long narrow, and inconsistent corrugated supplies.
The system can erect corrugated board weights from 150lb. B-flute
to a 350lb. double wall at speeds up to 12 cases per minute.
The
2EZ is constructed with quality materials and components, starting
with a welded tubular steel frame. All welds are ground, and
the frame is primed and painted with a 2 part stainless steel
pigment epoxy coating. Components include Mac air valves, Allen
Bradley Micrologix PLC controls, heavy duty vacuum pump, self
cleaning vacuum system, and all stainless steel contact parts.
All other components are plated or coated with a baked on powder
finish.
