Changeovers need to be fast and easy to perform when you are forming a variety of tray sizes. 

Combi was able to provide four adjustable forming mandrels to accommodate nine tray sizes for a customer using the HTF Single Stage Tray Former. Changeovers are made easy with RFID tags on the mandrel heads. This allows for the correct forming head to be installed based on the tray size chosen on the OIT.

The erected trays are conveyed to an area where two operators manually fill them. Filled cases then travel to a TBS-100 FC top sealing case sealer, resulting in a complete tray packing system.
