The Challenge
Combi uncovered a way to improve line efficiencies while complying with stringent washdown specifications including several anti-contamination measures.
The Solution
- With Combi Alphapacks and TBS Series Case Sealers, we were able to automate the case erecting, loading and sealing processes on three case packing lines. The Alphapacks were custom engineered with stud-welded standoffs for guarding and frame attachments, minimized part-to-part contact points, sealed framework, extra guarding and stainless steel components. Features a Combi Ergopack style pack off conveyor between the packer and sealer.
- Product now supplied to the Alphapacks at a rate of 75 cartons per minute on three case packing lines while fully maximizing floor space and labor resources.
- Fully compliant to client's wash down specifications.
- Doubles as a back up system and for hand packing short run products.
